About PB Networks
PB Networks is an independent reference site for enterprise networking
hardware. We publish lifecycle information for routers, switches, and
other network equipment: End of Sale and End of Support dates, affected
models, replacement and migration options, and practical notes for people
buying or maintaining older gear.
Why this site exists
When manufacturers move on to new generations, the documentation for
older equipment becomes harder to find. Lifecycle notices are scattered
across bulletins and PDFs, and it is not always clear what a date
actually means for hardware that is still in service. We organize that
information in one place and explain what it means in practice.
Who it is for
Network engineers, IT administrators, resellers, and homelab users who
need to know whether a product is still supported, what replaced it,
and what to check before buying used equipment.
Where the information comes from
Lifecycle dates and specifications come from manufacturers’ official
documentation, such as end-of-sale bulletins and datasheets. Articles
list their sources and show the date they were last verified.
